OBITUARY: Swope, James Jr. - Friday, September 15, 2006 Lexington Herald-Leader - September 18, 2006 Submitted by: Norma Adams ********************************************************************* SWOPE James Jr., 86, widower of Frances Jean Currie Swope, died Fri Sept. 15, 2006 at the Homestead Nursing Home. Born in Campton, KY, he was the son of the late James Sr. and Edna Childers Swope. He was a salesmen for the former Roth Equipment Company in Louisville and a WWII Navy Veteran. James is survived by a daughter, Mary (Ronald) Hall; two sons, John (Kay) Swope, and J.B. Swope; three grandchildren, Clayton (Ursa) Hall, Dawn (Trevor) Hopper, and Mary (Marcus) Jones; and two great-grandchildren, Meghan and Ethan Hopper. The family will hold a memorial Graveside service Tuesday in Evans Cemetery in Campton. No visitation is planned. Kerr Brothers Funeral Home, Harrodsburg Road is in charge of the arrangements.
