OBITUARY: Rose, John Glen, Middletown Journal, Middletown, Ohio From: "Deb Morrison" Date: December 20, 2003 John Glen Rose John Glen Rose, 73, of Middletown, Ohio, passed away Thursday, Dec. 18, 2003, at Middletown Regional Hospital. John was born in Wolfe County, Ky., the son of the late Blaine and Paulina (Pence) Rose, on July 9, 1930. He was a member of the Middletown, Ohio, Eagles Aerie 209, Moose Lodge 501, Disabled American Veterans and the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 3809. He is survived by his wife, Jewel (Risner) Rose; children Kathy (Don) Cox, Sherry (Kevin) Hawkins, Anna (Steve) Truster, David (Sonya) Rose, and Karen Rose; stepchildren Earl Jr. Banks, Jacqueline (Anthony) Whisman, Teresa Brooks, and Sherry (Randy) Fryman; 15 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; and six step- grandchildren and one step-great-grandchild. John is also survived by his brother, Jeff Rose; sisters Hazel Childers, Eloise Harris, Lenus Burton, and Vina Spicer. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Imogene (Hensley) Rose; a brother, Reed Rose; and sisters Edna Sullivan and Ruth Mullin. ARRANGEMENTS: Visitation will be Monday, Dec. 22, from 5 to 8 p.m. Funeral services will be Tuesday, Dec. 23, at 2 p.m., all at the Church of God in Jesus in Middletown, Ohio, with Pastor Arnold Brewer officiating. Burial will be in Fairmound Cemetery, West Elkton, Ohio. MEMORIALS: Memorial contributions may be directed to a charity of choice.
