"Nick" Age 82 of Middletown passed away at his residence September 15, 2007. He was born in Middletown to Floyd and Eva Nickell on August 15, 1925. He served our country during WW II in the U.S. Navy. He was a Crane Operator in the Hot Strip for Armco retiring after 38 years. Nick was a member of Berachah Baptist Church, Jefferson Masonic Lodge and VFW. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers Roy and Reese Nickell. Nick is survived by his wife of 54 years, Helen V. Nickell; daughter Beverly (David) Patrick; son Dana Wayne Conner; grandsons Scott (Lori) Chandler and Jeffrey Chandler; great-granddaughters Brandy, Megan, Emily and Ashlee; sisters Myrtle Rowland and Ruth Blackburn; also survived by other loving family members and friends. A visitation will be held Tuesday, September 18, 2007 from 10:00 a.m. until the Celebration of Life Service at 11:00 a.m. at Baker Stevens Funeral Home, with Rev. L. Lamar Ferrell officiating. Interment will be at Woodside Cemetery.
