JUST POSTING THE OBITUARY ON GEORGE HADDIX FROM THE MIDDLETOWN (OH) JOURNAL 3/18/09 George "Pal" Haddix, age 87, of Middletown, OH was delivered into the hands of the Lord, on March 16, 2009 at Atrium Medical Center where he had been a patient for two days. He was born July 25, 1921 in Campton, KY and moved to Middletown when he was 12 years old. He was employed in the Refiners Mill 1 at Sorg Paper Company retiring in 1973 after 31 years of service. He was an active member of the Buena Vista First Church Of God. The family wishes to extend special thanks to a very close and dear friend, Brother Kenny Sparks, and to all his Brothers and Sisters at the Buena Vista First Church Of God. Preceding him in death were his parents, Kelly and Early (Tyra) Haddix; his wife of 50 years, Clara (Maloney) Haddix in 1998; two brothers, Miles and Buddy Haddix; and three sisters, Marie Turner, Junie Pulliam and Ora Kincaid. George is survived by one son, Kenneth Haddix, wife Terri, Middletown; two grandchildren, Kenneth Haddix, Jr., wife Lela, Middletown and Natalie Haddix, Mason, OH; four great grandchildren, George Tyler, Morgan, Draven and Alivia; special friend, Kenny Sparks, Middletown; one brother, James Haddix, wife Pauline, Middletown; two sisters, Cora Daugherty and Barb Kenzekowski, both of Lexington, KY; and many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be March 20, 2009 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon at the Herr-Riggs Funeral Home, 210 S. Main St., Middletown, followed by funeral services at 12:00 noon with Pastor Charlie Rice and Brother Kenny Sparks officiating. Interment will be at Butler County Memorial Park, Trenton, OH. Arrangements by Herr-Riggs Funeral Home, 210 S.
