Obituary: Stamper, Gladys Cockerham - Sunday, April 30, 2006 May 2, 2006 Middletown Journal, Middletown, Ohio Submitted by: vivianmoon@juno.com ********************************************************************* Gladys STAMPER, age 80, widow of the late Andrew Stamper Sr., passed away at her home on Landsaw Fork Rd., Campton, Kentucky, Sunday morning, April 30, 2006 after a long illness. She was a native of Wolfe County, had made her home in Middletown, Ohio for a number of years, was a member of the Campton Baptist Church, a loving mother, and devoted housewife, and was the daughter of the late Clarence Cockerham and the Late Ida Hollon Cockerham. She is survived by one son, Andrew Stamper, Jr., Campton, Kentucky; four daughters, Sharon Blankenship, Middletown, Ohio, Shirley Crawford, Franklin, Ohio, Sandy Stamper, Campton, Kentucky and Betty Barnett, Clay City, Kentucky; one brother, Earl Cockerham, Middletown, Ohio; four sisters, Gertrude Trimble, Middletown, Ohio, Anna Lou Tyra, Campton, Kentucky, Opal Kessler, Kettering, Ohio and Faye Pence, Franklin, Ohio; six grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm, Wednesday, May 3, at the Porte! r and Son Funeral Chapel with Rev. Ron Barnett officiating. Burial will follow in the Evans Crossing Cemetery at Campton.
