JUST POSTING THE OBITUARY ON ERNEST FAULKNER FROM THE MIDDLETOWN JOURNAL 3/25/08 Gertrude Anderkin Wilburn, age 84, of Middletown, OH, passed away March 22, 2008 at the Ft. Hamilton Hughes Vitas Hospice Unit where she had been a patient for one week. She was born August 29, 1923 in Wolfe County, KY, and had lived in Middletown since 1956, except for a few years in Florida. She was the manager for 10 years for Snow White Diaper Service in Middletown before retiring. She loved to cook for her family on Sundays. She was preceded in death by parents: John and Sarah Jane (Vaughn) Anderkin; second husband, Ed Wilburn - 1997; 3 grandsons: Edward Lee, Jeff and Ricky; 1 great grandson: Christian; 13 siblings. She is survived by 3 daughters: Mildred Knutson (Don), Middletown, OH, Janette Henry (James), Kissimmee, FL, Carol Yeitrakis, (Richard), Orlando, FL; 8 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, 4 great-great grandchildren, 3 brothers: Robert Anderkin, CA, Edgar Anderkin, MD, Dallas Anderkin,(Kathy), WI; 1 sister: Louise Mullins. KY; her dog Peco. Private graveside services will be held at North Monroe Cemetery at the convenience of the family. Arrangements by Herr-Riggs Funeral Home, 210 S. Main St., Middletown.
