OBITUARY: Holland, Bessie (Brewer) From: vivianmoon@juno.com    Date: March 3, 2004 February 29, 2004 Middletown Journal, Middletown, Ohio March 1, 2004 Dayton Daily News, Dayton, Ohio Bessie Holland HOLLAND, Bessie Age 85, formerly of Franklin, Ohio, passed away Saturday, February 28, 2004 at Kettering Hospital in Kettering, Ohio. She was born on September 12,1918 in Campton, [Wolfe County], Kentucky, the daughter of Goffery and Maude (Halsey) Brewer. Mrs. Holland was formerly employed at Franklin City Schools as a teacher before retiring in 1978 after 33 years and she was a lifetime member of OEA. She also was a member of the Freewill Baptist Church since 1971. Preceding her in death are her parents; her husband of 57 years, Reed Holland; a daughter, Phyllis Goad, a brother Bill Brewer and a grandson Anthony Richard Drumm. Bessie is survived by her two sons; Edward (Donna) Holland of Wilmington and Garrison (Jennifer) Holland of Xenia; a daughter, Jodi Holland Clark of Houston, TX ; one sister Connie Sewell of Ansonia, OH; Son-in-law, Walter Goad; 13 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren. Funeral Services will be Tuesday at 1:00 p.m. at the Anderson Funeral Home (SPRIN! GBORO) 40 N. Main St. Springboro. With Pastor Dencil Owsley officiating. Burial will be in Miami Valley Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be Monday from 5 - 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
