OBITUARY: Lindon, Allen, October 1, 2003, Middletown Journal From: vivianmoon@juno.com Date: October 1, 2003 Wednesday Allen Lindon Allen Eugene Lindon, 85, of Franklin, died Monday, Sept. 29, 2003, at Hawthorne Glen Nursing Home. He was born in Lee City, [Wolfe County], Ky. the son of Allen E. Lindon Sr. and Dolin (Fugate) Lindon. Gene worked in the maintenance department of the cold strip mill at Armco for 23 years, retiring in 1971. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving in World War II. He was a member of the Breiel Boulevard First Church of God. He is survived by two daughters, Sondra Martz-Smith (husband, Anthony) and Patsy Jensen (husband, Thomas); one son, Charles Steven Lindon (wife, Catherine) all of Franklin; four grandchildren, James Steven Martz (wife, Victoria), Joseph Dwight Jensen (wife, Angie), John Matthew Jensen, Benjamin Steven Lindon; three great grandchildren, Ashleigh Rai Martz, Kylie Joe Jensen, James Thomas Martz; and many nieces, nephews and friends. The family sends a special thank you to the staff of Hawthorn Glen for all their loving care. He was preceded in death by his wife of 53 years, Edith (Townsend) Lindon; a grandson, Thomas Christopher Jensen II; three sisters, Breelie Mattingly, Marjorie Lindon, Elsie Williams; and two brothers, Seldon and William Lindon. ARRANGEMENTS: Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Thursday at the Breitenbach-McCoy-Leffler Funeral Home with the Rev. Eric Newell officiating. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial will be at the Woodside Cemetery with military honors by the American Legion Color Guard.
