Lindon, Thursday December 16, 1954, were held to the grand Jury of the April term of Clark Circuit Court at their examing trial December 21. Hamp Hoskins, 49, and his two sons, Arthur, 23 and Sterling, 19 all of Madison County, and Harold Shanks, 32 of Clark County, were arrested shortly after the stabbing, which occurred in Berryman's beer tavern in Winchester. Lindon, of Gillmore, Wolfe County, died at Clark County Hospital about an hour after he was stabbed four times, coroner James W. Bean said. Shanks, who took the stand, December 21, said Lindon and an unidentified Wolfe County man and Arthur and Hamp Hoskins were in the restroom of the beer parlor at the time of the stabbing and that he (Shanks) was standing just outside the door of the rest room. The commonwealth presented a knife which Winchester patrolmen said they found in the stove in the beer palor. None of the Hoskins appeared on the stand at the examining trial. The examining trial lasted about four hours. FUNERAL RITES HELD SUNDAY FOR MR. LINDON Funeral services were conducted Sunday morning at 10:00 a.m. in the Daysboro Christian Church for Lacy Lindon, who died on Thursday, December 16, as a result of knife wounds received in Winchester. He was born on Jan. 15, 1907 and would have been 48 years of age if he had lived until his next birthday on Jan. 15. He was the son of the late A.J. Lindon and Fannie Little Lindon. He was married to Maude Vest on Jan. 9, 1926, who survives him. They had no children. He leaves a foster son, Roger Lindon, and two sisters: Mrs. Bonnie Higgins, Berea; and Miss Heddie Lindon, San Diego, Calif.: 33 nieces and nephews, also one brother, Mort Lindon, of Gillmore. He was a veteran of World War II having served overseas 24 months. Funeral was preached by Rev.
