Obits: Tibbs, Henry, died 1953 Oct. 2002 Wolfe County, KY Submitted by: http://www.rootsweb.com/~archreg/vols/00001.html#0000062 Wolfe County Genealogy and Carole Bays ************************************************************************ Wolfe County news - March 4, 1953 HEART ATTACK IS FATAL TO HENRY TIBBS 63 Campton, Ky. - While talking and singing in the pulpit of the Rosedale Church of Christ, Sunday morning, Henry Tibbs, about 63, fell dead of a heart attack, even as he uttered the words, "Lord, I'm waiting, waiting, waiting." He was a member of the Church of Christ at Landsaw of Which Rev. Francis M. Deaton and Rev. John Dalton are associate pastors of both the Landsaw and Rosedale churches. He is survived by his wife; Mrs. Maude Tibbs, Campton; four sons; Herman Tibbs, Middletown, Ohio; John Henry Tibbs, Franklin, Ohio; Arthur Bruce Tibbs, Dayton, Ohio; and James Tibbs, Campton, also five daughters: Mrs. Mae Brewer, Misses Bessie and Inez Tibbs all of Carlisle, Ohio; Hazel Clifford, Hodgensville, Ky and Joyce Tibbs, Campton. Three brothers; Noah and Jimmie, both of Middletown, Ohio and John Tibbs of Landsaw. One half-brother, Jerry Profitt, Lacy creek and a half-sister, Mrs. Alice Brewer, Glomawr, Ky. Funeral services were held at the Rosedale church Tuesday with Rev. Francis M. Deaton. Rev. Willie Taylor and Rev. John Dalton each bringing a message. Rev. Deaton was in the pulpit, Sunday when the deceased fell dead.
