Obituary: Amyx, Fannie Hurst - October 12, 1976

Mrs. Fannie Hurst Amyx died Oct. 12 at McAllen General Hospital in
McAllen, Texas.  She was a native of Wilhurst, Breathitt County, Ky., a
daughter of the late Sam Henry and Charity Hollon Hurst, and sister of
the late Hardin, John, Captain and  Dr. Taylor Hurst.
 
She has lived in Mission, Texas for the past 45 years.  Her husband,
C.B. Amyx, died several years ago.   She is survived by two sons, Hurst
B. Amyx of Hollywood,  California and Charles B. Amyx of McAllen, 
Texas; one sister, Mrs. Lillie Hurst Tutt of West Point, KY five 
grandchildren, and ten great grandchildren.
 
Funeral services were held at the Virgil Wilson Mortuary in Mission 
with Rev. Kermit Gibbons officiating.  Burial in Valley Memorial 
Gardens.
