Obituary: Haney, Millie Rose - Wednesday, August 27, 1975 Wolfe County News - Sept. 1975 Submitted by: Carole Bays ********************************************************************** MILLIE HANEY DIES AUG. 27 Millie Haney, 89, Route 1, West Liberty died Wed. Aug. 27 at the Good Samaritan Hospital after an extended illness. Mrs. Haney was born Oct. 22 1885 at Stillwater in Wolfe County. She was the daughter of the late Bowen David Rose and Nancy Chambers Rose and a member of the Baptist Church. Surviving are a foster daughter, Deloris Lacy, with whom she lived, two sisters, Gertrude Childers and Elizabeth Combs both of Lexington; two grandchildren, Jerry Gevedon of Grassy Creek and Frances Rose of Lexington and one great grandchild. Funeral services were conducted Sat. Aug. 30 at the Grassy Lick Baptist Church with Brother Steve Bliffen and Brother Charles Haney officiating.
