Obituary: Hanks, Barsha Taylor - Friday, September 1, 1978 Wolfe County News - Sept. 8, 1978 Submitted by: Carole Bays ********************************************************************** BARSHA HANKS DIES SEPT. 1 Barsha Taylor Hanks, 78, died Friday, Sept. 1 at the Good Samaritan Hospital, Lexington after an extended illness. Mrs. Hanks was a retired school teacher having taught for 45 years in the Wolfe County School system, she was a member of the Methodist Church for 44 years. Survivors are one daughter, Mrs. Carolyn Miller of Campton; one son, James Hanks of Lebanon, Ky.; four grandchildren, Jimmy Scott Miller, Bobby Lee Miller, Angela Hanks and Bradley Hanks; one brother, Rev. Willie Taylor of Campton; two sisters, Mrs. Jennie Byrd of Beattyville, Mrs. Mabel Trent of Middletown, Ohio; one step-brother, Arthur Culbertson. Funeral services were conducted at the Campton Methodist Church on Monday, Sept. 4 with Rev. Richard Chamberlain officiating.
