ERNIE HANDY DIES APRIL 25   
 
Ernie Handy, 68, husband of Carmie Sally Handy, died at 10 a.m. Sunday,
April 25, at the Good Samaritan Hospital, Lexington after a long
illness. He was a native of Wolfe County and a retired miner.
 
Other survivors include two sons, Harold Handy, Dayton, Ohio, and Jackie
Handy, Germantown, Ohio; three brothers, Willie Handy, Middletown, O.,
Valney Handy, Hicksville, O., Courtney Handy, Oxford, Fla.; four
sisters, Ruth Fletcher, Oxford, Fla., Edna Sparks, Middletown, O., Lora
Prater, Bellville, Mich., and Golden Stamper, Cincinnati, O.; one
granddaughter, and three step-grandchildren.
 
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Campton first Church
of God by Rev. Doyle Thomas with burial in Evans Cemetery.  Arrangements
were under the direction of Porter and Son Funeral Home, Campton.
