ABEL DIES IN LEXINGTON Mrs. Leah Tutt Abel, formerly of Sycamore Road, Lexington, died Wednesday, March 29, in a nursing home. She was born in Wolfe County, daughter of Thomas Kelly Tutt and Louellen Crawford Tutt. She was a member of the First Methodist Church in Lexington. Survivors are one daughter, Jean Abel Adams, New Orleans, La., three grandchildren, Mrs. Lucy Carrio of Nutley, N.J. Mrs. Ellen Levy and Thomas P. Adams, both of New Orleans, La., two great grandchildren, Bruce and Louis Carrio; two sisters, Mrs. Luther Ambrose and Mrs. Dan Center, both of Berea; one brother, Thomas H. Tutt, Louisville; also several nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held 11:30 a.m. Friday, March 31, at the W.R. Milward Mortuary, Broadway, by Dr. William R. Jennings, Interment was in the Lexington Cemetery. Mrs. Abel lived a wonderful unselfish life, always thinking of others and helping them. She has helped many of her relatives and many people of Wolfe County. In fact, she was the most generous and gracious lady this writer has ever known.
