RITES HELD FOR EDITH PATTON
 
Mrs. Edith Patton, 71, widow of the late Ernie Patton, of Route 2
Campton, died at 12:15 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 20 at the Appalachian
Regional Hospital, West Liberty, after a long illness.  She was a 
native of Wolfe County, and a member of the Campton first Church of 
God.
 
She is survived by three sons, Buford and Ernest Patton, Jr., both of
Campton, and Lee Patton, New Vienna, Ohio; nine daughters, Mrs. Patricia
Alexander, Mrs. Otella Carson, Mrs. Exie Dunn, and Mrs. Martha Tyra, all
of Campton, Mrs. Priscella Barnett of Cincinnati, Mrs. Zelma Combs of
Dayton, Ohio, Mrs. Daisy Martin of Sidney, Ohio, Mrs. Bernice Howell of
West Milton, Ohio, and Mrs. Allene Wells of Frankfort; one brother,
Neville Taulbee of Vortex; two sisters, Mrs. Ora Mae Watson of Dayton,
Ohio, and Mrs. Bess Allen of Vortex; 51 grandchildren, and 31 great
grandchildren.
 
Funeral services were held at 1:30 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 22 at the
Campton first Church of God, with Rev. Doyle Thomas officiating.  Burial
was in the Chambers Cemetery on Baptist, with arrangements under the
direction of the Porter and Son Funeral Home.
