HECTOR LOCKARD DIES IN MICHIGAN

Friends, relatives and former schoolmates of Hector Lockard, 48 were 
saddened to hear of his recent death.  He and his family had lived on 
their farm at Deckerville, Mich., for several years.  He attended Wolfe 
County High School during the 1930's.  He had undergone heart surgery for 
the third time, and had lived longer than anyone else had ever lived 
under similar conditions.

His mother, Mrs. Bertha Lockard, Campton, and other members of the 
immediate family attended his funeral.  His mother had also viisted him 
often during his long illness.

Other survivors are his wife and a son, Richard, both of Michigan, his 
father, Andy Lockard of Bethany, and several brothers and sisters.
