VERNA ELKINS DIES APRIL 19 IN LOUISVILLE
 
Verna Hanks Elkins, of Louisville, died Monday, April 19 in Louisville.
She was a native of Wolfe County, a retired school teacher and a member
of the Beachmont United Methodist Church.
 
Survivors include three daughters, Jeanette Wells of Mt. Prospect,
Illinois, Virginia Williams of Flemingsburg, Juanita Elkins of
Louisville.
 
Funeral services were conducted at 1:30 p.m. at the Shackelford Funeral
Home Chapel with Rev. Richard Chamberlin officiating.  Burial was in 
the Evans Cemetery with Shackelford Funeral Home in charge of
arrangements.
