HATTON, 86, DIES AT BETHANY Robert Lee Hatton, 86, died at the home of Sam Henry Elkins, Bethany, Friday, Jan. 15 at 9:30 a.m. He was a member of the Primitive Baptist Church and a retired farmer. A lifelong resident of Wolfe County, he had been a member of the Cox Masonic Lodge for 31 years. He is survived by four sons, Clifford, Clayton, and Joe all of Lexington and Ova Lee Hatton of Tucson, Ariz. Also four daughters, Mrs. O.H. Payton, Mrs. J.C. Hurst, Mrs. G.C. Colliver, all of Lexington, and Mrs. Ed Murphy of Rawlins, Wyoming. All of the children attended the funeral in Campton, except the son in Arizona. Funeral was held at the Campton Baptist Church, Sunday, Jan. 17 at 2:30 p.m. with Rev. Ira Dunn officiating. Masonic rites followed the funeral. The body was removed then to Kerr Brothers Funeral Home in Lexington where it lay in state until 1 p.m. Monday when committal rites were held at Hillcrest Memorial Park, Shackelford Funeral Home of Campton was in charge of arrangements. ******************************************************************** These electronic pages may NOT be reproduced in any format for profit or presentation by any other organization or persons.
