Nov. 15 at the University of Kentucky Medical Center after a long illness. A native of Wolfe County, he had been a resident of Menifee County for the past eight years. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Sallie Dotson Rose; a son, Major Walter O. Rose, U.S. Army, Germany; a daughter, Mrs. Bobby Combs, Washington Courthouse, Ohio; four sisters, Mrs. Bernice Brown, Cleveland, O., Mrs. Tina Mae Profitt of Monroe, Ohio, Mrs. Vivian Stevens of Bellbrook, Ohio, and Mrs. Rausie Handy of West Carrollton, Ohio; two brothers, Alfred G. Rose, West Carrollton, Ohio and James Lester Rose, Piqua, Ohio; a step-son, Homer Martin, Cincinnati, Ohio, and eight grandchildren.
