TILDEN PELFREY DIES AT STANTON AT AGE OF 79

Tilden Pelfrey age 79, died Saturday, May 26, shortly before noon at 
his home in Stanton.  He was a retired farmer and carpenter.  He has been 
ill for some time.  He was a veteran of the Spanish American War.

Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Belle Pelfrey, Stanton; a son, Hillard 
of Beauty; a daughter, Mrs. Pearlie Wood, San Francisco, CA., and a 
foster daughter, Miss Opal Pelfrey, Lexington; a sister, Mrs. Nora Taulbee 
and a brother, Bruce Pelfrey both of Campton.

Funeral services were conducted at Trent in the Missionary Baptist 
Church.  Burial was in the Pelfrey cemetery at Trent and under the 
direction of Hearne Funeral Home.
