BRUCE STAMPER was born in 1869 in Wolfe County, Ky., and died January 18, 1949 at the age of 80 years. He was married to Laura McNabb, December 25, 1890 to which union were born seven children; three sons and four daughters. One son, Asa Stamper, preceded Mr. Stamper in death several years ago and his wife, 3 years ago. Mr. Stamper passed away at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Daisy O'Hair of Holiver (Toliver) , after a short illness, however, he had been in failing health for quite some time. He is survived by Carl Stamper of Lee County, Talmadge Stamper of Springdale, O., Nannie Prater of Maytown, KY., Linnie B. Blankenship of Trent, Ky., Mrs. Bonnie Halsey of Owingsville, Ky., and Mrs. Daisy O'Hair of Toliver, Ky., also the six grandchildren, children of the deceased son, Asa, namely; Winfred, Mildred Byrd, Wilma and Dorothy; and 19 other grandchildren besides many other relatives and friends who mourn his departure. Mr. Stamper has been in poor health and has been inactive for several years. He was a good citizen of our county, a loving father in his home and will be greatly missed by all his family and also friends. Funeral was conducted from the home of Mrs. Daisy O'Hair by the Rev.
