JOHN PATRICK HALE DIES IN INDIANA

Mr. John Patrick Hale, 74, died at the Clark County memorial hospital, 
Jeffersonville, Ind., early on Monday morning of May 27.  He had been 
in the hospital four weeks and ill, a week, at the home of his son, 
Edward Hale previous to entering the hospital.  He suffered with cerebral 
hemorrhage.

Mr. Hale was a member of the Christian Church at Hazel Green.

Funeral services were conducted by Mr. H.A. Stovall at the Christian 
church at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday.  All his children will be in attendance 
save the eldest daughter, Mrs. Flossie Lacy, of Kokomo, Ind., who was 
not able to make the trip, due to poor health.  She did visit her father 
several times at the hospital, previous to his death.

He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Sara Hale, a son, Edward Hale of 
Jeffersonville, Ind., and four daughters, Mrs. Flossie Lacy, Kokomo, Ind., 
Mrs. Versie Walters, Dayton, Mrs. Hattie Lee, Korea, and Mrs. Lena 
Meddings of Hazel Green; also 14 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.  
Besides these he leaves two brothers, Mr. Tilden Hale of Booneville, and 
Mr. Flurroy Hale, pastor of the Christian Chruch, Connersville, Ind., 
and one sister, Mrs. Mattie Kincaid of Cincinnati, Ohio.
