Obituary: Perkins, Samuel H. - September 24, 1986 Wolfe County News - 1986 Submitted by: Carole Bays ********************************************************************** Samuel H. Perkins, Sr., 90 of Lexington died there, Sept. 24 at St. Joseph Hospital after a long illness. A native of Wolfe County, he was the son of the late Sanford R. and Fannie Hollon Perkins. He was a retired Civil Service employee of the federal government and for many years was with the U.S. Public Health Service and was Administrative Assistant at the Lexington Signal depot. He also was a retired Lexington real estate broker. He was a member of the Methodist Church, the Central Kentucky Chapter of the National Association of Retired Federal Employees, the Kentucky Mount Clun. and the Hazel Green Academy Alumni Association. He is survived by a son, Samuel H. Perkins, Jr. of Louisville; a daughter, Ada P.H. Gillikin of Mobile, Ala.; six grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
