Age 68, of Germantown passed away Friday, May 5, 2006 as the result of a traffic accident. Jack was born in Middletown, OH on June 21, 1937, to the late Earl R. and Kathryn A. (Kizel) Thompson. He was a member of Christ United Methodist Church and was employed by Sears in Middletown as a mechanic. Jack was very involved in missionary work through his church making several trips to Puerto Rico. He also was an avid fan of his grandson's soccer teams and loved being a grandfather. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a daughter Beverly S. Wagers. He is survived by his wife, Wilma; son Jonathan Leo Rose; brother John A. (Rita) Hendricks, of Middletown; 2 sisters, Betty Palmer and Pat (Herschel) Borders, both of Middletown; 2 grandchildren, Jordan Anthony Wagers and Matthew Thomas Wagers. Friends may call Saturday, May 13, 2006 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. ( 2 hrs prior to the service) at the Christ United Methodist Church , 700 S. Marshall Rd., Middletown where funeral services will follow with Pastor Lisa Ellison officiating. Burial Germantown Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Christ United Methodist Church in Jack's memory. Arpp & Root Funeral Home serving the family.
