Ratliff, 59, of Valeria Road, Campton, died at 10:15 a.m. Monday, Jan. 15 at his residence following a long illness. He was a native of Wolfe County, a retired sawmill operator and mechanic, and was a member of the Baptist Church. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Verna King Ratliff; two sons, James and Frank Ratliff of Campton; three daughters, Mrs. Josephine Harper of Fredericksburg, VA, Mrs. Billy Osborne of Hazel Green, and Miss Judy Ratliff of Campton; four grandchildren, and one step-granddaughter. Funeral services were conducted at 1 p.m. Thursday at the Lower Laurel Baptist Church with Rev. Tom Byrd officiating and singing by the ___________ Way Singers.
