WOLFE NATIVE DIES IN ASHLAND
 
Funeral services for Mrs. Ethel Watson, 86, of Ashland, who died Monday,
Oct. 3, were conducted at 11 a.m. Friday, Oct. 7 at John Steen Funeral
Home in Ashland by Rev. Wayne Rice.  Burial was in the Rose Hill Burial
Park.
 
Mrs. Watson was born Nov. 23, 1896 in Wolfe County a daughter of the
late J.H. and Elizabeth Linden Dykes.  She was preceded in death by
husband Millard Watson in 1969.
 
Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Donald P. Wade of Wrightsville Beach,
N.C; a son David L. Watson of Louisa, a brother, Herman Dykes of
Ashland, a sister, Mrs. Neal F____by., of Ashland, two grandchildren 
and two great grandchildren.
