Matilda Peck, 88, widow of Leander Peck, sr., died at the Good Samaritan Hospital, Lexington at 11:40 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 20 after a short illness. She was the daughter of the late Hiram and Charlottie Sparks Hollon, a member of the Methodist Church and a native of Wolfe County. She is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Lottie Tapley, with whom she made her home, Mrs. Rosie Cox, Middletown, Ohio, and Mrs. Reva Moore, Carlisle, Ohio; three sons, Charlie Peck, Dayton, Ohio, Clayton Peck, Carlisle, Ohio, and Leander Peck, Jr. Miamisburg, Ohio: one step-son, Elza Peck, Campton; three brothers, Herbert Hollon and Jessie Hollon, Campton, and Porter Hollon, Middletown, Ohio; one sister, Mrs. Sallie Peck Campton, 18 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren. Funeral services were held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 23, at the Campton first Church of God with Rev. Doyle Thomas and Rev. Lewis Pouck officiating.
