BRUCE STAMPER DIES IN WRECK LAST FRIDAY

Bruce Stamper, 47, was killed in a four-car collison accident on route 
No. 15 on Swope Hill, near Pilot View Friday afternoon, June 22 about 
four p.m.

He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Gertrude Lykins Stamper (formerly of 
Wolfe county) and two daughters, Carolyn Jean and Judy Ann all of 
Newport, Ky; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Fillmore Stamper, Sebastian Branch, in 
Breathitt County and five brothers, Jasper of Sebastian Branch, Dan, 
Reed, and Enoch all of Newport, Ky., and Fillmore, Jr. of Jackson.

The body was removed to the home of his parents at Sebastian Branch on 
Saturday afternoon.  Funeral was conducted there on Sunday afternoon at 
two p.m. with Hearne Funeral Home Directors of Campton in charge.

Rev. C.G. Herald and Rev. William McIntosh officiated.

Burial was in the Griffith Cemetery in Breathitt.
