Obituary: Spencer, China - Monday, April 12, 1971 Wolfe County News - April 1971 Submitted by: Carole Bays ********************************************************************** CHINA SPENCER DIES FOLLOWING LONG ILLNESS China Spencer, 38, died at 12:00 noon, Monday, April 12, at the Clark County Hospital, Winchester, after a long illness. She was a native of Wolfe County and a member of the Church of God. She was a daughter of Eula Mae and the late Dorsie Tolson. She was married to Marion Spencer of Pine Ridge. Other survivors include two sons, John Marion and Phillip Alan Spencer, both of Pine Ridge; three brothers, Dorsey Tolson, Jr., Middletown, Ohio, James Robert Tolson and Jackie Dale Tolson, Campton, two sisters, Mrs. Kathleen Woodward, Middletown, Ohio and Mrs. Wanda Cunningham of Stanton. Funeral services were held at 2:00 a.m. Thursday, April 15, at the Campton First Church of God by Rev. Ethan Duff and Rev. Doyle Thomas. Burial was in the Evans Cemetery, Campton.
