Obituary: Profitt, Luther - Sunday, August 14, 1977 Wolfe County News - Aug. 19, 1977 Submitted by: Carole Bays ********************************************************************** RITES SAID FOR LUTHER PROFITT Luther Profitt, 81 of Georgetown, Ky., and formerly of Route 1 Campton, died at 7:10 p.m. Sunday at the Veterans Hospital in Lexington. He had been in ill health for several years and had made his home at a Nursing Home in Georgetown. He was a son of the late Wilgus and Amelia Bryant Profitt, a retired farmer of the Rose Fork Community, a member of he Church of God, and a veteran of World War I. He is survived by two sons, Arthur and Gene Profitt, both of Middletown, Ohio, one daughter, Mrs. Effie Williams, Middletown, Ohio; five brothers Morg Profitt of Hazel Green, Robert Profitt of Winchester, Bruce and George Profitt, both of Dayton, Ohio, and Tom Profitt, Campton; two sisters, Mrs. Lydia Tuttle, Indianapolis, Ind., and Mrs. America Johnson, Alger, Ohio; eleven grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Funeral services were held at 1:00 p.m. Wed. Aug. 10, at the Porter and Son Funeral home Chapel with Rev. Elijah Baker officiating.
