Obituary: Davis, Mabel Gillespie - Tuesday, March 1, 1977 Wolfe County News - March 4, 1977 Submitted by: Carole Bays ********************************************************************** MABEL DAVIS DIES IN OHIO Mrs. Mabel Davis, 54, of Dayton, Ohio and formerly of Hazel Green died at 2:30 a.m. Tuesday, March 1, after a short illness. She was born May 12, 1922, at Hazel Green a daughter of the late Henry and Maude Roe Gillespie. Survivors are four sisters, Mrs. Daisy Butcher, Mrs. Nora Stupp and Mrs. Dorothy Morris, all of Dayton, and Mrs. Rose Landrum of Sandfield and three brothers, Henry Gillespie, Jr., Robert Gillespie and James Gillespie, all of Dayton. Funeral services were at 2 p.m. Thursday, March 3, at the Sandfield Church, Route 1, Hazel Green with Rev. Ernest Lawson and Rev. Bee May officiating.
