'Bill' ADAMS William 'Bill' Adams, died enroute to the UK Medical Center last Friday, March 24 after his car collided head on with another vehicle on Highway 15, one mile south of Campton. He was 37. The accident occurred at 10:15 a.m. when a vehicle driven by 18 year old Jackie D. Dean collided with Adam's vehicle. Dean was admitted to UK Medical Center. The accident is still under investigation according to the state police. Adams was a partner in the Adams and Tyra Trucking Company and a member of the Church of God. Survivors include his wife, Billye Chambers Adams; one son, William Carlton Adams, Jr., and one daughter, Carla Rhea Adams, both at home; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Clayton Adams, of Zachariah; one brother, Charles Adams, Pine Ridge; one sister, Mrs. Sue Lane of Leeco; and his grandfather, Carl Stamper of Beattyville. Funeral services were conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday, March 26, at Campton Baptist Church with Rev. Tommy Sparks and Rev. Doyle Thomas officiating.
