Obituary: Patton, Courtney - Wednesday, March 5, 1986 Wolfe County News - March 14, 1986 Submitted by: Carole Bays ********************************************************************** Courtney Patton, 84, of Route 2 Campton, died Wed. March 5, at Good Samaritan Hospital, Lexington. Mr. Patton, son of the late Jefferson Davis and Emma Hollon Patton, was a Wolfe County native, and a retired farmer. Survivors are his wife, Lizzie Tolson Patton of Route 2 Campton; three sons, Jack Patton, George Patton, and Johnny Patton, all of Route 2 Campton; one daughter, Sarah Birchfield of Route 1 Campton; three half brothers, Ova Patton of Route 2, Campton, Robert King of Ohio, and Jesse King of Morgan County; two half sisters; Gertrude King of Middletown, Ohio, and Hulda Tolson of Campton; 18 grandchildren and 24 great grandchildren. Funeral services were conducted at 1 p.m. Sat. March 8, at Porter and Son Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Doyle Thomas officiating.
