AKIN, 91 PASSES Mar. 26 Mrs. Leatha Roberts Akin, age 91, died March 26, 1971 at Smith Rest Home, Beattyville, KY., after a three-year illness. She was a member of Campton Methodist Church. Surviving are one son, Chester "Red" Roberts, Campton; two step-sons, Marion Akin, Beaver, Pa., and Hershel Akin, Buffalo, NY two step-daughters, Mrs. Anna Mary Woods, Webster Spring, W. Va, and Mrs. Virginia Williams, Cochranton, Pa.; two great grandsons, Greg Knack, and Gary Knack, U.S. Navy. Funeral services were conducted a 2 p.m. Sunday, March 28 by Rev. Ben Cain and Rev. Jeff Burton at Campton Methodist Church. Burial was in the Evans Cemetery. Honorary pall bearers were Nick Coons, Riley Harris, Steve Rose, Jim Swope, Omer Catron, Buford Horton.
