Obituary: Wyant, Mida Horton - Thursday, April 22, 1976 Wolfe County News - April 30, 1976 Submitted by: Carole Bays ********************************************************************** MIDA WYANT DIES AT 91 FOLLOWING A LONG ILLNESS Mida Wyant, 91, of Campton died at approximately 2:15 p.m. Thursday, April 22 at the Glenway Nursing Home, in Winchester, after an illness of several months. She was the daughter of the late Henry and Laura Hanks Horton, and the widow of the late John A. Wyant. She was a native of Wolfe County, a former Red Cross worker, and member of the Campton Baptist Church, and a Sunday school teacher for over 30 years. She is survived by one son, Nelson, of Claypool, Arizona, three sisters, Mrs. Sadie Hobbs of Bridgeport, Illinois, Mrs. Cosby Hagen of Lexington, ad Mrs. Lizzie Drake of Campton; three grandchildren, and two great grandchildren. Funeral services were held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, April 26, at the Campton Baptist Church with Rev. Harrold J. Dunnaway and Rev. Ray Cummins officiating. Burial was in the Winchester Cemetery, at Winchester, with the Porter and Son Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Pallbearers were: Buddy Brewer, Jack Cable, Bobby Miller, Ed Yeager, Ezra Manning, and Gary Miller.
