Obituary: Lane, Charlie - Monday, January 5, 1976 Wolfe County News - Jan. 9, 1976 Submitted by: Carole Bays ********************************************************************** CHARLIE LANE DIES JAN. 5 Charlie Lane, 76, of Valeria died Monday, Jan. 5, at the U.K. Medical Center in Lexington after a short illness. He was a retired farmer, a native of Wolfe County, a member of the Baptist church and the Maytown Masonic Lodge No 656. Survivors are his wife, Carmie Helton Lane of Valeria; three sons, William Henry Lane and James B. Lane of Lexington, Percy Lane of Valeria; six daughters, Mrs. Liza Creech, Mrs. Imogene Miller, Mrs. Elsie Turpin, Mrs. Eunice Miller and Mrs. Beulah Creech all of Lexington, Mrs. Janet Mayabb of Nicholasville; 20 grandchildren and eight great grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Iva Bowman of Valeria and Mrs. Bennie Culbertson of Marion, Indiana. Funeral services were conducted 2 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 8 at the Campton Baptist Church with Rev. Wilson Chaney officiating.
