BRIEF ILLNESS FATAL
 
Isaac Hollan, 40 years old, of Vortex, Wolfe County, died Monday,
September 5, at the Bach hospital where he was brought for treatment a
few hours previous.  Death was due to meningitis which followed a brief
illness.
 
The body was removed to the undertaking establishment of J.R. Blake &
Son, and later taken to the home on Holly creek, where funeral and
burial services were held Tuesday conducted by the Junior Order of this
city and workers at Bethany Orphanage.
 
He is survived by his wife and three children ranging from three months
to 23 years.
