W. C. DANIEL DIES AT LEXINGTON Funeral Services are Held at Home of Daughter by Rev. J.C. Hanley, President of Sayre College Mrs. Cynthia Rogers Daniel, 66, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. P.H. Barnett, Lexington, early Friday morning, Dec. 11. She is survived by her husband, Walter C. Daniel, Sr., and nine children: LaRue Daniel, Jackson, Mrs. Hugh Bowman, Zold; Mrs. P.H. Barnett, Lexington, George Daniel, Jackson; Mrs. W.H. Hunson, Hazard; Mrs. J.C. McDonald, Hamilton, Ohio; Dr. K.B. Daniel, Jackson; Mrs. C.C. Whisman, Hazard; and Mrs. E.E. Day, Whitesburg; her father, Elihu Rogers, Rogers, Ky.; two brothers and three sisters, twenty-eight grandchildren and one great grandchild. Three children preceded her to the grave. Mrs. Daniel was well known in Jackson having visited her children here a number of times. She was a woman of strong Christian character and was loved by all who knew her. She was a member of the Presbyterian Church. The funeral services were held at the home of Mrs. Barnett, 9:30 o'clock Sunday morning, conducted by Dr. J.C. Hanley, president of Sayre College.
