Obituary: Hanks, Lawrence Finley - Monday, August 1972 Wolfe County News - Aug. 1972 Submitted by: Carole Bays ************************************************************************** WOLFE NATIVE DIED IN MENIFEE Lawrence Finley Hanks, 84, retired farmer of Denniston, died at 9 a.m. Monday at the Mary Chiles hospital after a long illness. He was a native of Wolfe County. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Virgie Bond Hanks; two daughters, Miss Louise Hanks, Denniston, and Mrs. Dorothy Sebastian, Campbellsburg; a son, Emmitt Hanks, Denniston; a sister, Mrs. Van Elkins, Louisville, and a brother Fred Hanks, Campton. Services were conducted by the Rev. Harrison Ratliff at 1 p.m. Thursday at the Botts Church. Burial was in the Evans Cemetery in Campton.
