ARNETT SUCCUMBS AFTER RECENT STROKE H.C. Arnett, 59 years old, prominent Wolfe county, Democrat, died early in the morning of March 1, at his home at Helechawa following a paralytic stroke which he suffered recently. Mr. Arnett was prominent in state politics, was a former United States Marshall and was for a number of years, state parole agent. He was a member of the Baptist church. Surviving him are his widow, Mrs. Nancy Arnett, his father, Phillip Arnett; three sons, Troy Arnett, Floyd Arnett and Roy Arnett; three daughters, Mrs. Dorte McClure; Mrs. Eugenia Wormsley and Mrs. Myrtle Cox; four brothers, Charles D. Arnett, Louisville attorney, Floyd Arnett, banker and attorney at West Liberty, S.S. Arnett of Huntington, W. Va.; and two sisters, Mrs. Mary B. Childers, of Charleston W. VA., and Mrs. Mattie Sharkey, of Benham, Ky. Funeral services were conducted Wednesday afternoon at the residence. L. Porter Ray, funeral director of this city had charge of arrangements.
