Obituary: Pence, Sam Henry - Friday, January 22, 1982 Wolfe County News - January 29, 1982 Submitted by: Carole Bays ********************************************************************** SAM PENCE DIES AT LEXINGTON Sam Henry Pence, 58, of Campton died Friday, Jan. 22 at the Good Samaritan Hospital in Lexington after an extended illness. He was an employee of Computer Peripherials in Campton. Survivors include his wife, Ruby Pence; one son, Logan Pence of Dayton, Ohio; four daughters, Genevieve Back of Campton; Mildred Banks of Yorktown, Virginia; Linda Lilly of Beckley, West Virginia; Cristie Ward of New Port News, Virginia; 10 grandchildren and one great grandchild; two brothers, Bruce Pence and Lonnie Pence of Dayton, Ohio; six sisters, Minerva Taulbee of Dayton, Ohio; Clara Sallie of Jackson; Lilla Harris of Dayton, Ohio; Myrtle Hatton and Gladys Bowman, both of Campton; Delphia Holcomb and Vivian Holcomb both of Dayton, Ohio. Funeral services were conducted Monday, Jan. 25 at the Campton Church of God with Rev. Doyle Thomas officiating.
