Obituary: Miller, Joe - Tuesday, December 16, 1975 Wolfe County News - January 2, 1976 Submitted by: Carole Bays ********************************************************************** JOE MILLER DIES DEC. 16 Joe Miller, 69, husband of Jane Miller of Rt.1, Campton, died Tuesday, Dec. 16, at the Clark County Hospital in Winchester after a short illness. He was a native and life long resident of Wolfe County, and prominent farmer in the Stillwater community. He was the son of the late Joseph and Elizabeth Lindon Miller. Other survivors besides his wife include two sons, Herbert Miller, Rt. 1, Campton, and Cecil Miller, Trenton, Ohio; one daughter, Miss Mary Elizabeth Miller, Rt. 1, Campton; five sisters, Mrs. Mary Combs, Mrs. Maude Cullins, and Miss Ella Miller all of Rt. 1, Campton, Mrs. Minnie Swope, Slade, Ky., and Mrs. Fern Carroll, Winchester, Kentucky, seven grandchildren and one great grandchild. Funeral services were held at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 18, at the Campton First Church of God, with Rev. Doyle Thomas, Rev. Ralph Burnett, and Rev. Elijah Smith officiating. Burial was in the Miller Cemetery on Buchanan Fork of Stillwater, with Masonic rites at the graveside.
