Obituary: Pence, Ova - Sunday, October 24, 1976 Wolfe County News - November 5, 1976 Submitted by: Carole Bays ********************************************************************** DEATH CLAIMS OVA PENCE, 59 Ova Pence, 59, husband of Elsie Banks Pence, of Campton, died suddenly Sunday morning, Oct. 24, while enroute to a Lexington Hospital. He had been in failing health for the past several months. He was a native of Perry County, attended the Church of God, and had been employed by the Green Thumb Project for the past four years. He was a son of the late Daniel B. Pence and Emma Banks Pence. Other survivors besides his wife include one son, Bobby Pence, Campton; four brothers, Richard Pence of Campton, Sam and John Pence, both of Viper, Kentucky, and Asa Pence, Menifee County, and two grandchildren. Funeral services were held at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 26, at the Porter and Son Funeral Chapel with Rev. Omer Spencer officiating. Burial was in the Pence Cemetery in the Calaboose Funeral.
