DEATH CLAIMS OVA PENCE, 59
 
Ova Pence, 59, husband of Elsie Banks Pence, of Campton, died suddenly
Sunday morning, Oct. 24, while enroute to a Lexington Hospital.  He had
been in failing health for the past several months.  He was a native of
Perry County, attended the Church of God, and had been employed by the
Green Thumb Project for the past four years.  He was a son of the late
Daniel B. Pence and Emma Banks Pence.
 
Other survivors besides his wife include one son, Bobby Pence, Campton;
four brothers, Richard Pence of Campton, Sam and John Pence, both of
Viper, Kentucky, and Asa Pence, Menifee County, and two grandchildren.
 
Funeral services were held at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 26, at the Porter
and Son Funeral Chapel with Rev. Omer Spencer officiating.  Burial was
in the Pence Cemetery in the Calaboose Funeral.  Funeral arrangements
were under the direction of Porter and Son Funeral Home of Campton.
