PORTER, 72 OF WOLFE COUNTY PASSES SUNDAY Frances Porter, 72, former partner of Porter and Son Funeral Home and former Wolfe County deputy coroner, died Sunday, April 15, in a Stanton nursing home of an apparent heart attack. She was wife of the late B.F. Porter, who, with his son founded the funeral home. After his death she replaced him as an active partner in the business. She retired in 1967. After her retirement she served for eight years as deputy coroner of Wolfe County. She was a native of Warren County and a member of the Campton First Baptist Church. Survivors include a son, Lewis R. Porter, Campton; seven grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
