LAWSON, 96 WOLFE NATIVE, DIES IN CLARK Mrs. Etta Rose Lawson of Lexington, widow of the late Porter Lawson, died Friday, Dec. 28 at the Clark County Hospital following a long illness. She was 96. A native of Wolfe County, she was a daughter of the late John A. and Mary McQuinn Rose, and was a member of the Lee City Christian Church. Mrs. Lawson is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Cash Wells of Clark County; two grandchildren, George A. Wells of Jackson, Miss., and James V. Wells of Ft. Lauderdale, Fla.; three great grandchildren, Toni Len Wells of Jackson, Miss., Jimmie Wells of Ft. Lauderdale, and Mike Wells with the U.S. Coast Guard in Key West, Fla.; one great great grandson, Cody Wells of Key West, and a number of nieces and nephews. Funeral services were conducted at 10 a.m. Monday, Dec. 31, at the Scopee Funeral Home in Winchester by Rev. Welby O. Patton.
