NATIVE OF WOLFE COUNTY CLAIMED IN OHIO
 
Mrs. Cora E. Roberts, 80, of 1315 Fairmont Ave., Middletown, Ohio died
in the Middletown Hospital at 9:45 p.m. Thursday Feb. 14.  She had been
in failing health for four years.
 
Mrs. Roberts, formerly head of Garfield Mission, was a member of the
First Methodist Church and Circle 7 of the church.  She had been a
resident of Middletown for 35 years.  Her husband James Roberts died in
1935.  She is survived by a step-son Cecil Roberts of Cincinnati, Ohio.
 
Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. Sat. Feb. 16 at the Riggs Funeral
Home with Dr. Donald Cryer and Dr. C.E. Wintringham officiating.
Burial was in the Woodside Cemetery.
 
Mrs. Roberts was a native of Wolfe County and was the daughter of the
late John Rose and "Shug" Rose of Lacy Creek, Wolfe County and had 
many friends in the county.  She was a sister to Mrs. Sam Smith and Mrs. 
Joan Clark of Hazel Green, both of whom preceded her in death.
