Martha Rae Rose 
 
Mrs. Martha Mae Rose, 76, of Middletown, Ohio, passed away 
Sunday, Nov. 2, 2003, at Garden Manor Retirement Village where 
she had resided for 2112 years. 
 
She was born on April 28, 1927, in Crandon, Wis., but had lived 
most of her adult life in Trenton, Ohio. She was a homemaker 
and a member of the Malaga Community Church in Wolfe 
County, Ky. 
 
Mrs. Rose was preceded in death by her parents, Stephen 
James and Lutie (Whitt) Kash; her husband, Nevil Rose in 1997; 
and nine brothers and sisters. 
 
Survivors include a son, Charles Gillespie, and wife, Marilyn, of 
West Elkton, Ohio; four grandchildren, Christine Blair of West 
Chester, Ohio, Gina Marshall, and husband, Bernie, of Mason, 
Ohio, Tina Harrison of Franklin, Ohio, and Charlie Gillespie, 
and wife, Beth, of Middletown; seven great-grandchildren; one 
great-great-granddaughter; two step-grandchildren, Steve 
Gillespie of Middletown and Shelly Rowland, and husband, 
Tony, of Eaton, Ohio; a stepson, Wendell Rose, and wife, Pat, of 
Michigan, and their five grandchildren. 
 
ARRANGEMENTS: There will be no visitation. Graveside services 
will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 5, at the Evans Cemetery, 
Campton, Ky., with the Rev. Doyle Thomas officiating. Interment 
will follow. 
 
Arrangements are by Herr-Riggs Funeral Home, 210 S. Main 
St., Middletown.
