OBITUARY: Raney, Edgar., August 9, 2003, Cincinnati, Ohio From: vivianmoon@juno.com Date: Mon, August 11, 2003 August 9, 2003 Saturday Middletown Journal, Middletown, Ohio Edgar Raney Edgar Raney, 73, of Franklin, Ohio, died Wednesday, Aug. 6, 2003, at University of Cincinnati Hospital. He was born in Wolfe County Ky., on June 29, 1930, the son of Elven and Maggie (Halsey) Raney. He was a foundry worker at Miami Foundry for more than 30 years and retired in 1978. He attended church all his life, recently at the Dixie Highway Christian Center in Franklin. Mr. Raney was preceded in death by his parents; and brothers and sisters, Leonard, Golden, Carl, Frances, Albert, and Joe. Surviving are his wife of 50 years, Reva (Landrum) Raney; a daughter, Joyce Raney of Franklin; a brother, Cleve Raney of Germantown; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. ARRANGEMENTS: Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Monday, Aug. 11, at Eaton-Anderson & Unglesby Funeral Home, 1357 E. Second St., Franklin, with the Rev. Dave Bowling officiating. Burial will be in the Woodhill Cemetery.
