Obits: Sewell, Sarah , died 2/03/1954 Oct. 2002 Wolfe County, KY Submitted by: http://www.rootsweb.com/~archreg/vols/00001.html#0000062 Wolfe County Genealogy and Carole Bays ************************************************************************ WOLFE COUNTY NEWS - FEB. 10, 1954 MOTHER AND SON DIE, TWELVE OTHERS HURT IN OHIO AUTO WRECK A three car wreck in Sharonville, Ohio on Wednesday, Feb. 3, caused the death of two and injuries were received by at least 12 other people. Killed in the wreck was Mrs. Sarah Sewell, wife of Edd Sewell of Hollonville, Ky. and her son, Frank Sewell, 19, died a short time later in the hospital of injuries received in the wreck. Also a daughter, Mrs. Jewell Ritchie, of Sharonville, was seriously injured and her small son was slightly injured. Ten other people, who were involved in the wreck were hospitalized. The bodies of Mrs. Sewell and her son, Frank, were returned to Campton Hearne Funeral Home on Friday. Funeral services were held Saturday at the Bailey Field Church of Christ with Rev. Willie Taylor and Rev. John Dalton officiating. Burial was in the family burial plot on Spring Branch of Holly. Mrs. Sewell leaves nine children. There were ten in the family including Frank, who was also a victim of the accident. There are four sons living; Taylor, Orville, Edd, all of Dayton and Paul at home. Five daughters, Mrs. Mildred Aubrey, Franklin, Ga.; Mrs. Jewell Ritchie, Sharonville, Ohio; Mrs. Mary Siders, Dayton, Ohio; Mrs. Dorothy Trent, Wilhurst, Ky.; and Beatrice Sewell at home. Her husband, Edd Sewell, Hollonville, her mother, Mrs. Martha Brewer, Hollonville; three sisters, Mrs. Mary Vancleve, Hollonville, Mrs. Josie York, Detroit; and Mrs. Pearl Buchanan, Portsmouth, Ohio.
